Nuclear Med Tech - Days

Location: Hilo, Hawaii
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Perform radiopharmaceutical preparation and general nuclear medicine imaging.
  • Conduct camera quality control (Q.C.) and NRC-required daily and weekly Q.C.
  • Prepare and monitor EKGs for cardiac exams.
  • Receive and document radioactive shipments.
  • Equipment used includes SIEMENS Dual Headed ECAM with ESOFT Processing, CAPTUS 3000, NMISGE MAC 5000.
  • Floating to other units/departments based on competency and licensure.

Schedule

  • Day shift, 8-hour shifts, scheduled 40 hours weekly after the first week of orientation.
  • Must arrive the Thursday before the start date for an employee health appointment on Friday.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Nuclear Medicine Technologist license in Hawaii.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, including experience within the last year.
  • ARRT or CNMT certification in Nuclear Medicine.
  • BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.

Additional Information

  • Dress code includes scrubs, street clothes, and lab coat.
  • Prior travel experience is required.
