Registered Nurse - Behavioral Health

Location: Louisburg, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

Work setting: Behavioral Health unit with 33 beds
Patient population: Adult and geriatric behavioral health patients
Patient ratio: 1 nurse to 10 patients
Weekly hours: 36 hours
Shift schedule: 12-hour shifts every other weekend
Call requirements: None
Float requirements: Between geriatric and adult behavioral health units
Electronic Health Record system: Paragon

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
Minimum 1 year of Behavioral Health nursing experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) or Health Worker Certification (HWC), and Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (NVCI)

Local candidates must live 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify for travel status

Summary

This is a travel RN position in a behavioral health setting requiring at least 1 year of behavioral health nursing experience, strong de-escalation and communication skills, and current RN licensure with required certifications. The role involves working 36 hours per week on 12-hour shifts every other weekend, with no call duties and floating between adult and geriatric behavioral health units.
