Registered Nurse - Behavioral Health

Location: Winchester, Tennessee
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit and Facility Overview

Behavioral Health unit with 12 beds
Trauma Level II facility
Patient population primarily geriatric
Team nursing patient ratios
Electronic Health Record system: Meditech
Common diagnoses include dementia
Float requirements as needed

Position Details

Role: Registered Nurse (RN)
Specialty: Psychiatric/Behavioral Health
Number of openings: 1
Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
Weekend hours: Every other weekend/as needed
Call requirements: None
Orientation: Weekly on Mondays
Dress code: Scrubs of any color; casual wear and other facility-branded clothing are not allowed

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Tennessee
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Minimum 1 year of Behavioral Health experience, including experience within the last year
Medical-Surgical nursing experience
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) or Healthcare Worker Certification (HWC) prior to start

Preferred Qualifications

Previous behavioral health experience

Additional Information

Professional demeanor and personality fit required
Candidates must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify as travel staff
