Registered Nurse - Med Surg Telemetry

Location: Sierra Vista, Arizona
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Work in an acute care unit with 34 beds, serving primarily geriatric and adult patients; occasional pediatric patients are present but not assigned to travelers.
Patient population includes telemetry, surgical, and general medical cases.
Typical patient ratio is 6:1.
Equipment used includes Alaris pumps, SCD machines, feeding tubes, and telemetry monitors.
Electronic Health Record system: Cerner.
Shift: 3 shifts of 12 hours each (7a-7p / 7p-7a).
Weekend work required occasionally.
Call required only when unit is down staffed or placed on call.
Float assignments possible to care for inpatient holds.

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Minimum 2 years of Med Surg / Telemetry nursing experience, including experience within the last year
One year or more of total travel nursing experience
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Work Environment & Culture

Flexible and willing to help personality fit preferred.
Dress code: scrubs of any color and closed-toed shoes only.

Additional Information

Orientation provided bi-weekly.
Local candidates must live 60 miles or more away to qualify for travel status.
Weekly hours approximately 36.
Must submit full candidate packet including resume, self-assessment, and skills checklist.

Note: Call requirements and weekend shifts are occasional, not routine.
