Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery (Travel)

Location: Frisco, Texas
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit Information

Unit: Labor and Delivery
Number of Beds: 13 plus 2 triage and 2 OR
Number of Staff: 34
Staff on Day Shift: 1 CNC, 1 CST, 3-5 RNs (depending on census)
Staff on Night Shift: 1 CNC, 1 CST, 3-5 RNs (depending on census)
Patient Ratios: Usually 1:2 or 1:1
Equipment: GE EFM’s
EMR Systems: CPN and Meditech

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Texas
Labor and Delivery experience (minimum 2 years), including experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Certifications:
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
Scrub capability

Preferred Qualifications

Scrub capability
Charge nurse experience

Typical Procedures

Inductions
Cesarean sections
Trial of Labor After Cesarean (TOLAC)

Work Schedule & Environment

Hours per week: 36
Shift: 7 AM to 7 PM
Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts per schedule
On-call Requirement: 1 on-call shift per schedule
Dress Code: Royal Blue scrubs
Personality Fit: Upbeat and positive

Additional Notes

No floating required
Holiday schedule to be discussed if applicable
