Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical (Travel)
Location: Henderson, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Overview
- Work in a 48-bed Medical Surgical unit with a patient ratio of 1:6
- Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
- Weekend hours as needed
- Call requirements: None
- Rare float requirements, possibly to inpatient rehab or ER for specific tasks
- Electronic Health Record system: Paragon
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
- Minimum 1 year of Medical Surgical nursing experience, with experience within the last year
- One completed travel assignment
- Certifications: NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Preferred Experience
- Experience managing a 1:6 patient ratio with high patient turnover
Unit & Patient Population
- Trauma level unit
- Patient population primarily adult medical-surgical patients
