Nuclear Med Tech
Location: Beaumont, Texas
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 7 AM – 5 PM (Must stay past 5 PM until all cases are completed)
Weekend/On-call: Required
Job Summary
- Perform routine and advanced nuclear medicine imaging procedures.
- Support other imaging technologists as needed.
- Facilitate smooth and efficient patient flow.
- Troubleshoot basic equipment maintenance and resolve image processing/archiving issues.
- Participate in quality assurance and ongoing education related to safety and technical advances.
- Maintain radiation safety protocols when handling radionuclides and pharmaceuticals.
- Complete daily logs and periodic tests as required by licensure.
- Adhere to organizational values, professionalism, and confidentiality standards.
- Demonstrate flexibility to work other shifts and at other campuses as needed.
- Ensure exams are properly scanned and stored in PACS; follow PACS downtime procedures as a superuser.
- Report equipment malfunctions and follow up appropriately.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Nuclear Medicine Technologist license in Texas
- Minimum 1 year of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience within the last year
- ARRT (N) certification
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
Additional Information
- Must be able to stay past scheduled shift end until all cases are completed.
- Weekend and on-call availability required.
