Nuclear Med Tech

Location: Beaumont, Texas
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 7 AM – 5 PM (Must stay past 5 PM until all cases are completed)
Weekend/On-call: Required

Job Summary

Perform routine and advanced nuclear medicine imaging procedures.
Support other imaging technologists as needed.
Facilitate smooth and efficient patient flow.
Troubleshoot basic equipment maintenance and resolve image processing/archiving issues.
Participate in quality assurance and ongoing education related to safety and technical advances.
Maintain radiation safety protocols when handling radionuclides and pharmaceuticals.
Complete daily logs and periodic tests as required by licensure.
Adhere to organizational values, professionalism, and confidentiality standards.
Demonstrate flexibility to work other shifts and at other campuses as needed.
Ensure exams are properly scanned and stored in PACS; follow PACS downtime procedures as a superuser.
Report equipment malfunctions and follow up appropriately.

Required Qualifications

Valid Nuclear Medicine Technologist license in Texas
Minimum 1 year of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience within the last year
ARRT (N) certification
BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association

Additional Information

Must be able to stay past scheduled shift end until all cases are completed.
Weekend and on-call availability required.
