Registered Nurse (Rehab) - Travel Assignment

Location: Anchorage, Alaska
Assignment Length: 6 weeks
Shift: Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Hours per Week: 36

Unit Information

Inpatient Rehabilitation unit with 10 beds
Staff on unit: approximately 20
Patient ratio: 5:1
Equipment used: Sara Stedy, Hoyer lift, Sara Flex, Sara Plus, Carendo Shower Chair
Electronic Medical Records (EMR): EPIC and UDS
Weekend requirement: up to every other weekend
No on-call requirements
Floating areas include Med Surg and Ortho
Dress code: Navy blue scrubs

Job Requirements

Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse
Required Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support)
Licensure: Current Registered Nurse license
Preferred Experience: Inpatient rehab experience is a plus, but any inpatient hospital experience is required

Typical Responsibilities

Patient mobilization and lifting
Documentation to maintain compliance with Medicare and unit policies
Team-oriented work with strong teamwork skills

Additional Notes

Documentation and compliance training provided during orientation
Unit staffing for night shift typically includes 1 charge nurse, 1 RN, and 1 Patient Care Technician (if census >8)
