Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Location: Bozeman, Montana
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Variable Shift, Monday-Friday
Hours per Week: 40
Job Summary
- Perform general nuclear medicine examinations, including therapeutic procedures and PET/CT patient exams in an acute care hospital environment.
- Provide on-call services as needed.
- Assist Radiologists and medical staff during exams and procedures.
- Conduct nuclear medicine quality control measures.
- Complete documentation for interpretation, reporting, archiving, and retrieval of exams.
- Verify orders and related health information to ensure timely performance and reporting of nuclear medicine exams.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives related to hospital quality indicators.
- Handle administration, receipt/return, decay, and disposal of radioactive materials in compliance with state and federal regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Nuclear Medicine Technologist license in Montana.
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, with experience within the last year.
- Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in nuclear medicine or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB).
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

- Tact, discretion, sensitivity, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to perform effectively in a busy and stressful environment.
- Proficiency with current and new computer applications and office equipment.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to analyze, organize, and prioritize work to meet multiple deadlines.
Schedule and Work Requirements
- Regular and sustained attendance is required.
- May require working beyond a standard 40-hour workweek, including weekends and after-hours shifts.
- On-call availability may be required to respond promptly to organizational, patient, or employee needs.
Additional Information
- Candidates must live at least 90 miles away from the facility to be considered.
- The facility reserves the right to cancel up to three shifts during the 13-week contract due to low census or unforeseen circumstances.
