Registered Nurse - Med Surg

Location: Sierra Vista, Arizona
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 3x12 hour shifts (7a-7p / 7p-7a)
Hours per Week: 36 hours

Unit and Patient Population

Acute Care unit with 34 beds
Patient ratio: 6:1
Patient types: telemetry, surgical, general medical
Population includes geriatric and adult patients; occasional pediatric patients (not assigned to traveler)
Equipment used: Alaris pumps, SCD machines, feeding tubes, telemetry monitors
Electronic Health Record system: Cerner

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Arizona
Med Surg / Telemetry experience (minimum 1 year), with experience within the last year
More than one year of total travel nursing experience
BLS certification
ACLS certification
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Work Environment and Expectations

Must occasionally work weekends
Call required only when unit is down staffed or placed on call
Possible float to care for inpatient holds
Flexible and willing to help personality fit
Dress code: scrubs of any color and closed-toed shoes only

Additional Notes

Orientation provided bi-weekly
Candidates must be located 60 miles or more away to qualify for travel assignment
