Registered Nurse - Med Surg (Travel)
Location: Kennewick, Washington
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 12-hour day shifts
Weekly Hours: 36 hours guaranteed
Weekend Requirement: 2 weekend shifts every 2-week pay period
Call Requirement: Yes
Unit & Patient Population
- Med Surg unit on 2 North floor
- 16 private rooms
- Patient ratio typically 1:4, with 1:3 for higher acuity patients
- Patient population includes geriatric and adult patients
- Common diagnoses: Alcohol detoxification, Post PCI, DKA/HHS, Cardiac issues, GI problems, BIPAP use
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington
- Minimum 2 years of Med Surg experience, with at least some experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification

- Float requirements apply
- Electronic Health Record system: Paragon (McKesson)
- Facility is a Level 3 Trauma center
- Must be located more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify as travel
- No specific scrub color designated; standard professional attire expected
- Position requires working in a teaching hospital environment serving a diverse patient base

- Conveniently located within 3 hours of Seattle and Portland, 2 hours from Spokane, with direct flights from the local airport to major U.S. hubs
