Registered Nurse - Med Surg (Travel)

Location: Kennewick, Washington
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 12-hour day shifts
Weekly Hours: 36 hours guaranteed
Weekend Requirement: 2 weekend shifts every 2-week pay period
Call Requirement: Yes

Unit & Patient Population

• Med Surg unit on 2 North floor
• 16 private rooms
• Patient ratio typically 1:4, with 1:3 for higher acuity patients
• Patient population includes geriatric and adult patients
• Common diagnoses: Alcohol detoxification, Post PCI, DKA/HHS, Cardiac issues, GI problems, BIPAP use

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington
• Minimum 2 years of Med Surg experience, with at least some experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification

• Float requirements apply
• Electronic Health Record system: Paragon (McKesson)
• Facility is a Level 3 Trauma center
• Must be located more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify as travel
• No specific scrub color designated; standard professional attire expected
• Position requires working in a teaching hospital environment serving a diverse patient base
