Registered Nurse - Behavioral Health (Travel)

Location: Aurora, Colorado

Unit Type: Geriatric Psychiatric (Behavioral Health)
Number of Beds: 120
Number of Staff: 50
Patient Ratios: Approximately 1:8-9 (days and nights; estimated, not guaranteed)
Equipment Used: Welch Allen Vital Signs Machines
Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System: Meditech
Work Environment: Family-oriented, collaborative team culture

Job Description

Provide nursing care on a geriatric behavioral health unit
Perform behavioral health admissions and discharges
Serve as Lead RN resource (training provided)
Float to other inpatient adult behavioral health units as needed
Work hours typically from 7 PM to 7 AM (night shift)

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Minimum 1 year of behavioral health nursing experience within the last year
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) training or Calm Every Storm certification

Preferred Qualifications

Strong inpatient behavioral health experience
