Registered Nurse - Behavioral Health

Location: Holyoke, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

Specialty: Behavioral Health
Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Hours per Week: 40 (guaranteed)
Weekend Hours: Every other weekend
Call Requirements: None
Float Requirements: Yes
Patient Population: Geriatric, pediatric (ages 5-17), and adult patients
Unit Profile:
- 104 beds across five units (2 adult units with 24 beds each, 24 geriatric beds, 12 pediatric beds)
- Patient ratios approximately 1:8, lower ratios for geriatric and pediatric units
Common Diagnoses/Treatments: Schizophrenia, depression, bipolar disorder, substance use disorder, anxiety
Electronic Health Record (EHR): Cerner
Supervision: Shift supervisors only
Dress Code: Blue scrubs

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts
Minimum 1 year of Behavioral Health experience within the last year
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Equipment use is minimal or none
