Registered Nurse - Postpartum / Mom Baby (Travel)
Location: Denver, Colorado
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36
Unit Information
- Unit: Postpartum / Mother-Baby
- Beds: 23
- Staff: Approximately 80 staff members on mom/baby unit
- Day Shift Staffing: 1 charge nurse, 2-3 CNAs, 9-10 RNs on the floor, 3-4 RNs in the nursery
- Night Shift Staffing: 1 charge nurse, 9-10 RNs on the floor, 2-3 RNs in the nursery
- Patient Ratios: Approximately 3-4 patients per nurse (estimated, not guaranteed)
- Equipment: Main computer system - CPN
- EMR System: Meditech / CPN
Job Description
- Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and manage perineal care
- Educate parents on newborn care, safety, and bonding
- Strong communication with staff and providers is a priority
- Adaptability and flexibility with schedule are valued
- Compassionate, patient, and team-oriented personality fit
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado
- Minimum 1 year of postpartum experience, with experience within the last year
- Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
