Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery (Travel)
Location: Kennewick, Washington
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
- Work in a Birth Center unit with 6 labor rooms, 11 mother/baby rooms, and 3 triage beds
- Patient population: Adults
- Volume: Approximately 110 deliveries per month
- Patient ratios follow AWHONN guidelines
- Electronic Health Records used: Centricity and Paragon
- Shift: Days
- Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
- Weekend hours: 48 per month
- No call requirements
- Float required to Mother/Baby unit
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington
- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience, including experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Certifications required:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- AWHONN (Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Fetal Monitoring
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- Washington Suicide Prevention
- Experience with OR circulation
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Experience with mother/baby care and triage preferred but not required
- Flexibility and good communication skills are important personality traits
Additional Information
- Dress code: Scrubs in blue or blue/green colors
- No unacceptable attire specified
- Float requirements include coverage for Mother/Baby unit
- Located in a scenic area with recreational opportunities nearby (golf courses, parks, wine country)
- Facility is a teaching hospital with 111 beds and multiple service lines including ED, Family Medicine, Ortho, OBGYN, Pediatrics, Urgent Care, Lab, and Diagnostic Imaging

- Must be located more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify as travel
