Lab Tech

Location: Hartsville, Tennessee
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Weekly Hours: 36 hours
Weekend Hours: Every other weekend / as needed
Call Requirements: None

Job Description

Position in the General Laboratory department (Laboratory specialty)
Serves patients of all ages
Blood bank experience required
Core lab experience including phlebotomy required
Electronic Health Record system used: Meditech
Facility has 25 beds

Required Qualifications

Valid Medical Laboratory Technician license in Tennessee
Minimum 1 year of Medical Laboratory Technician experience within the last year
Certification from ASCP, AMT, or AAB
BLS certification
Associate degree or equivalent
Phlebotomy experience
Medical Laboratory Technician, Medical Laboratory Scientist, or Medical Technologist credential

Work Environment & Additional Information

Shift details to be provided (not specified)
No float requirements
Dress code: Scrubs of any color allowed; no unprofessional or other facility-branded attire
Personality fit: Reliable and team player

Notes

Orientation occurs weekly on Mondays
Candidates must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify as travel staff
