Registered Nurse - Emergency Department (Travel)

- Wichita, Kansas
Job Type
- Travel assignment
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Hours per week: 36
Unit Information
- Emergency Department (ED) with 12 beds
- Staffing: 3 RNs on 24/7 shifts (including 1 CNC and 2 RNs)
- Patient ratio: 1 RN to 4 patients
- Equipment: Routine ED equipment
- Electronic Medical Record system: Meditech
- Typical procedures include routine ED care, respiratory treatments (breathing treatments, BiPAP), and point-of-care labs
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kansas
- Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
- Crisis Prevention Intervention Training (CPI)
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience working in a Freestanding Emergency Department (FSED)
- Proactive approach to anticipate and assist with patient care orders
