Registered Nurse - Med Surg Telemetry
Location: Gallatin, Tennessee
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
- Provide nursing care on a Medical Surgical Telemetry unit in a Level III Trauma Center with 167 beds.
- Serve a diverse patient population of all ages.
- Work in a fully accredited facility with a strong community presence.
Unit Details
- Department: Medical Surgical Combination 2
- Shift: See shift details (36 hours per week guaranteed)
- Weekend Hours: Every other weekend / as needed
- Call Requirements: As needed
- Float: Possibility to float to similar med/surg units
- Equipment: Omnicell medication dispensing system
- Electronic Health Record (EHR): Meditech
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee
- Minimum 1 year of Medical Surgical Telemetry nursing experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Required certifications prior to start: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
- IV insertion skills required
Skills and Experience
- Experience in Medical Surgical and Telemetry nursing required
- IV insertion skills required
- Professional demeanor and appearance required (scrubs acceptable; casual wear not allowed)
Additional Information
- Orientation occurs weekly on Mondays
- Candidates must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify as travel staff
- Patient ratios and number of beds on the unit not specified
- No specific dress code color required for scrubs
