Job Opportunity: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Unit Information
- Department: Respiratory Services
- Number of beds: 854
- Number of staff: 120
- Shifts:
- Day: 15-20 RRTs for adult service lines, 3-4 RRTs for NICU/Pediatric service lines
- Night: 12-16 RRTs for adult service lines, 3-4 RRTs for NICU/Pediatric service lines
- Patient ratios: 10-25 patients per therapist
- Equipment used:
- GE R860 Adult ventilators
- Draeger Infant/Pediatric ventilators
- Newport HT70 transport ventilator
- V60 Non-invasive device
- Vapotherm and Comfort Flow high flow oxygen devices
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system: Cerner
- Floating assignments: All critical care units and floors
- Dress code: Medium gray/pewter scrubs
- Weekend requirement: At least 4 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in North Carolina
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from NBRC
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist, including experience within the last year
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP
- HHCCA - De-escalation Skills - Healthcare Setting certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification

- This role requires working in a Level II trauma center with comprehensive stroke and Level III neonatal intensive care units.
- The hospital is recognized for high clinical quality and nursing excellence.
- The respiratory therapy team supports adult, neonatal, and pediatric patients with advanced respiratory care technologies.
