Registered Nurse - ICU
Location: Los Alamos, New Mexico
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Unit and Facility Information
- 6 ICU beds with a 2:1 patient ratio
- Serves all age groups
- Electronic Health Record system: Medhost Clinicals
- Float requirements: May be required to float to Medsurg, ER, etc.
- Call requirements: As needed; must be within 30 minutes of the hospital when on call
- Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
- Weekend hours: Alternating weekends
- Dress code: Scrubs of any color; casual wear is not acceptable
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico
- Minimum 1 year of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Skills in ventilator management
Job Responsibilities and Skills
- Provide care for ICU patients with complex needs
- Manage ventilators and continuous medication titration
- Work professionally within a multidisciplinary team
- May be required to float to other units such as Medsurg or ER
Additional Notes
- Orientation occurs weekly on Mondays
- Candidates must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify as travel staff
