Ultrasound Tech - Vascular (Travel/Contract)
Location: Winston Salem, North Carolina
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Work setting: Adult vascular ultrasound clinic
- Shift: Day shift, Monday to Friday, 7:45 AM – 5:00 PM (8-hour days, 40 hours/week)
- Call, float, and weekend requirements: None
- Patient load: 8-10 studies per tech per day across 4 rooms
- Equipment: Phillips ultrasound machines
- Unit systems: EPIC electronic health record required
- Orientation: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM; attendance mandatory with no missed portions
- Scrubs: Not provided; royal blue color required
- Interview: Manager requires a candidate interview prior to offer
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Vascular Sonographer
- Vascular Sonographer experience within the last year
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist) certification required
- Required vascular ultrasound skills:
- Arterial mapping
- Carotid ultrasound
- Doppler studies
- Peripheral Vascular Resistance studies
- Renal Artery Duplex
- Upper Extremity Arterial ultrasound
- Upper Extremity Venous ultrasound
Certifications & Licenses
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist) certification preferred
- If not RVT, RVS (Registered Vascular Specialist) certification may be considered (subject to screening)
Important Notes
- Start date is subject to change based on class and trainer availability; travelers must be fully available with no other commitments during orientation week (start may be Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday of the first week)
- No return-to-office (RTO) after booking allowed; call-offs or additional RTO may lead to cancellation or "do not rebook" status
This position is ideal for vascular ultrasound technologists with solid adult vascular experience seeking a 13-week travel contract with a consistent day shift schedule and no call or weekend requirements.
