Physical Therapist (PT) Travel Position

Location: Lynnwood, Washington
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Weekly Hours: 40 hours
Weekend Hours: Once a month
Call Requirements: None


Job Summary

Provide occupational therapy services primarily to adult and geriatric patients in a medical rehabilitation setting. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to assess, plan, and implement therapy interventions aimed at improving patient function and participation.


Patient Population

  • Adult and geriatric patients
  • Common diagnoses include Stroke, Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), Spinal Cord Injury, and Debility

Essential Functions

  • Assess patient needs and initiate appropriate occupational therapy interventions
  • Supervise Certified Occupational Therapist Assistants, rehabilitation technicians, and students as needed
  • Evaluate treatment effectiveness and recommend changes to physicians when necessary
  • Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments and timely quality improvement scoring
  • Address patient pain and make appropriate interventions or physician contacts
  • Maintain patient safety and reduce healthcare errors
  • Document patient progress, goals, and care plans according to policy
  • Participate in patient/family and interdisciplinary team conferences
  • Provide patient and family education tailored to learning needs
  • Operate and maintain therapy equipment safely
  • Collaborate with other departments for patient care and performance improvement
  • Participate in departmental training, infection control, and safety programs
  • Maintain professional communication and relationships within the department and with patients/families

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Physical Therapist license in Washington
  • Minimum 1 year of Physical Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
  • Current BLS certification
  • Master’s degree in Physical Therapy

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in acute care, skilled nursing, or inpatient rehabilitation settings

Work Environment & Additional Information

  • Facility has approximately 40 beds
  • Electronic Health Records systems used: EPIC and Rehab Connect
  • Must be cooperative and a team player
  • Dress code requires black scrubs
  • Report time on first day: between 7:30 AM and 8:00 AM

  • Adhere to organizational policies, ethical business practices, and safety standards
  • Demonstrate accountability, reliability, and professionalism at all times
