Job Details

• Start Date: July 27
• Shift: 3 shifts of 12 hours each, variable schedule (Day: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM / Night: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
• Guaranteed Hours: 60 hours per 2 weeks (may be called off for one 12-hour shift per 2 weeks)
• Weekend Requirement: Yes
• On-call: No
• Floating: Clinician may float within scope to meet facility needs
• Block Schedule Accommodation: No
• Locals Accepted: No (candidate’s permanent address must be at least 50 miles from facility)

Housing and Vehicle

• Housing provided: typically 1-bedroom apartments, available 72 hours before contract start and up to 24 hours after contract end
• Pets are not allowed
• Housing usually accommodates only the traveler; additional family members require approval
• Housing must be cleaned upon departure or cleaning fees apply
• Vehicle provided for local use only (within 30-mile radius), available same timeframe as housing
• Only the traveler may operate the vehicle; valid driver’s license and insurance proof required
• Vehicle must be returned clean and with a full tank of gas
• Tire chains available at additional cost
• Vehicle must be returned during time off and reissued upon return

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Alaska
• Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience, with recent experience within the last year
• ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
• AWHONN Intermediate Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Valid driver’s license

Additional Requirements

• Must complete annual regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via assigned LMS platform
• Must comply with facility float policy acknowledgment
• Must provide a passport-style badge photo with neutral background
• Must complete Epic training modules as required by facility
• Must provide valid driver’s license and proof of insurance for vehicle use

Notes

• First-time travelers are accepted
• No prior travel experience required
• Candidates must not be local (must live at least 50 miles away)
• Floating to other units or facilities within reasonable distance may be required
• Facility provides housing and vehicle for the duration of the contract
• Housing and vehicle use have specific rules and restrictions to follow
