Unit: Coronary Care Unit (CCU)
Number of Beds: 26
Staff per Shift:
- Day Shift: 13 RNs, 1 Charge Nurse, 1 Patient Care Tech
- Night Shift: 13 RNs, 1 Charge Nurse, 1 Patient Care Tech
Patient Ratio: 1:2
Equipment Used: Balloon pumps, CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy), Hypothermia equipment
Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System: Meditech

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kansas
Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Coronary Care Unit (CCU)
Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- NIH Stroke Scale Certification (NIHSS)
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience with Meditech EMR system
Prior travel experience in large facility ICU units (preferred but not required)

Typical Procedures Performed

Heart catheterizations
Use of balloon pumps
CRRT management
Hypothermia protocol
Cardioversion
Central line care
Medication drips
