Registered Nurse – Emergency Department
Location: Augusta, Georgia
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Unit Overview
- Unit: Emergency Department
- Beds: 30
- Staffing:
- Day and Night Shifts staffed with Charge Nurses, RNs, Paramedics, Patient Care Technicians (PCTs), and Nurse Extenders (NEs)
- Patient Ratio: 1:4
- Equipment Used: Pyxis, GE Monitors, Zoll defibrillators, Welch Allyn and Dynamap vital signs machines
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Meditech
- Dress Code: Royal Blue scrubs
- Scheduling: Self-scheduling with four weekend shifts per month; two must be consecutive weekend days
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia
- Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) experience within the last year
- Proficient in NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) assessment
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Preferred Qualifications
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
- ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course)
