Registered Nurse (Behavioral Health) - Travel Position
Location: Englewood, Colorado
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Hours per Week: 36 (includes weekend hours)
Unit and Patient Information
- Facility has 4 units with 20-26 patients each (total 96 beds)
- Patient population includes adolescents (13-17 years) and adults (18+)
- Patient ratios:
- 1:12 on Adolescent, Adult Mental Wellness, and Adult Acute units
- 1:10 on Adult Dual Diagnosis/Substance Use Disorder (SUD) unit
- Acute stabilization behavioral health hospital with average patient length of stay 7-10 days
- Electronic Health Record (EHR) system: HCS
Job Responsibilities and Requirements
- Role: Registered Nurse in Behavioral Health specialty
- Float to all units as needed
- Call/text coverage required when staff call off or shifts open
Requirements/Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Colorado
- Minimum 2 years of Behavioral Health nursing experience, including experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Strong de-escalation skills
Work Environment and Dress Code
- Scrub color: Navy
- No unacceptable attire specified
Additional Notes
- Position is within the nursing department
- Focus on acute behavioral health stabilization with common diagnoses related to mental health and substance use disorders
