Registered Nurse – Ortho
Location: Tyler, Texas
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Specialty: Registered Nurse
- Unit: Orthopedics – Ortho Trauma and Total Joint Replacement
- Shift: Nights, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Patient Ratio: 1 nurse to 6 patients
- Number of beds: 36
- Charting system: Epic
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
- Minimum 1 year of orthopedics nursing experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Preferences
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred (not required)
Additional Notes
- Candidates residing in certain Texas counties (Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, and Morris) are not eligible for this travel assignment.
- Orientation and onboarding requirements include safety manual acknowledgement and photo for badge.
- Fit testing is facility-specific and must comply with approved mask types.
- Candidates must meet all health and immunization requirements with proper documentation; no history-based vaccine records accepted.
This position is ideal for experienced orthopedic RNs with night shift availability who meet comprehensive licensure, certification, and health requirements.
