Registered Nurse – Ortho

Location: Tyler, Texas
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

Specialty: Registered Nurse
Unit: Orthopedics – Ortho Trauma and Total Joint Replacement
Shift: Nights, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Patient Ratio: 1 nurse to 6 patients
Number of beds: 36
Charting system: Epic

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
Minimum 1 year of orthopedics nursing experience within the last year
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Preferences

Previous travel nursing experience preferred (not required)

Additional Notes

Candidates residing in certain Texas counties (Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, and Morris) are not eligible for this travel assignment.
Orientation and onboarding requirements include safety manual acknowledgement and photo for badge.
Fit testing is facility-specific and must comply with approved mask types.
Candidates must meet all health and immunization requirements with proper documentation; no history-based vaccine records accepted.

This position is ideal for experienced orthopedic RNs with night shift availability who meet comprehensive licensure, certification, and health requirements.
