Histology Tech - Travel/Contract Position
Location: Santa Rosa, California
Shift: Night (5x8 hours), 9:00 PM – 5:30 AM
Hours per Week: 40 hours
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Workdays: Saturday to Thursday
- Start Date: ASAP
- Patient Ratio: 1:1
- Required Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty with hospital experience; grossing experience is mandatory
- First Time Traveler: Allowed only if candidate has strong experience and more than 10 years total experience
- Return to Office (RTO) Restrictions: No more than 7 days
- Facility Type: Acute Care
- Dress Code: Scrubs or business casual
Required Qualifications
- Valid Histology Technologist license in California
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Histology Technologist
- Recent Histology Technologist experience within the last year
Background and Compliance
- Background check within 90 days covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years; must be updated annually
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated monthly
- Education verification required for all candidates
- Employment application covering at least last 5 years of employment
- Minimum of 2 professional references covering 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting within last 3 years
- Drug screen (9 panel) within 12 months of start; instants acceptable
- State-specific background and registry checks as applicable
Additional Requirements
- Passport-style badge photo with neutral background required
- Completion of annual regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via LMS (Workramp)
- Float policy acknowledgment: may be required to float to other nearby facilities
- Competency exams and skills checklists as applicable, updated annually
- Work history verification required if exceptions to reference requirements are requested
