Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Location: Wilson, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Work in a 26-bed Emergency Department with a patient ratio of approximately 1:4-5, flexible based on acuity.
Facility uses Meditech EHR and standard ED equipment including GE monitors.
Patient population includes all ages (geriatric, adult, pediatric).
Common diagnoses treated: Respiratory distress, overdose, congestive heart failure (CHF), dialysis, hypertension (HTN).
Shift and hours vary; typically 36 hours per week with every other weekend required.
No call requirements.
Float assignments are similar to the primary assignment.

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina.
Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience within the last year.
Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI).
Education: Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing.

Additional Information

Orientation occurs bi-weekly with an ASAP start date.
The role requires a team player with an engaged and positive attitude.
Scrub color is flexible; no specific restrictions except no scrubs with "WM" logo.
Meditech experience is preferred but not mandatory.
Location is approximately 45 miles east of Raleigh, NC, near major universities and local attractions.
