RN - PCU
Job Overview
- Location: Asheville, North Carolina

Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse license
- ACLS
- BLS
- NIH Certification
- 2+ years of experience in the specialty
- Stepdown experience
- Telemetry experience
Preferred Experience
- Experience with CV surgery and vascular surgery patients within the past year
- CVICU experience
Unit Details
- 40-bed cardiac surgery stepdown unit
- Primary patient population includes cardiovascular surgery, vascular surgery, thoracic lung surgery, and overflow medical cardiology patients
- Typical patient ratio: 1:5 per RN
Common Responsibilities
- Epidural management
- Chest tube management
- Tube feedings
- IV gluccomander
- Cardiac drip management
Scheduling / Work Expectations
- No call
- Minimum of 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period
- Holiday flexibility required
Floating
- May float to stepdown, med-surg, or inpatient ER holding areas
