Registered Nurse (NICU) - Travel Position

Location: Corpus Christi, Texas
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36

Unit Information

Unit Type: Level II NICU and Newborn Nursery
Number of Beds: 32
Number of Staff: 63
Patient Ratios: 1:2 or 1:3
Typical Equipment: Ventilators, Oscillators, Vapotherm
Electronic Medical Records (EMR): Centricity Perinatal and Meditech

Job Responsibilities & Procedures

Care for infants between 23 to 40+ weeks gestation
Perform intubations, assist with eye exams, feeding tube insertions, and IV insertions

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
Minimum 1 year of Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Experience working with infant patients
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
Ventilator experience

Preferred Skills

Experience with ventilator and oscillator use
Familiarity with CPN charting

Work Schedule & Environment

Approximately 3 to 4 weekends per month required
No on-call duties
Dress Code: Royal Blue scrubs
Team environment: Must work well with others and have a cooperative attitude

Additional Notes

Floating assignments may include Level II NICU and Newborn Nursery units
