RN - OB/GYN

Job Overview

Location: Florence, Alabama
Employment type: Travel
Specialty area: Labor and Delivery
Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Guaranteed hours: 36 per week
Contract length: 8 weeks
Start timing: Must be able to start 7-10 days after offer acceptance
Scheduling notes: Weekly orientation on Mondays; blocked scheduling available
Float requirement: Postpartum

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Alabama
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Labor and Delivery (3 years of experience)
Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
OB/GYN experience
Post Partum experience
BLS
ACLS or ALS-OB
NRP
EFM

Clinical Experience

Fetal monitoring and assessment
Emergency response
Postpartum care
Time management

Unit Details

Adult patient population
9-bed unit
1:1 patient ratio

Common Diagnoses / Cases

Normal spontaneous labor
Preterm labor
Gestational hypertension
Preeclampsia
Placenta previa
Placental abruption
Fetal distress
Umbilical cord prolapse
Postpartum hemorrhage

Work Environment

Adaptability, teamwork, attention to detail, stamina, strong communication, and empathy are valued
Ceil blue scrubs required
Non-compliant scrub colors, slogan/graphic scrubs, offensive content, and inappropriate footwear are not allowed
