Assignment Overview

Travel RN position in Austin, Texas
13-week contract
12-hour night shift
No call required
36 hours per week

Unit Details

Neuro medical/surgical unit
30 beds
Patient ratio: 1:5
Weekend requirement: 4 shifts per schedule

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Texas
Med Surg (1 year of experience)
Med Surg experience within the last year
BLS
NIHSS
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Preferred Qualifications

ACLS

Unit Environment

Team-oriented and self-motivated staff culture
Navy scrubs required
Hoop nose piercings are not allowed

Additional Notes

Packet provided on start date
Meditech is used on the unit
Common procedures include stroke NIH, EEGs, gastric decompression, and wound care
