RN - ICU
Location
- Nashville, Tennessee
Assignment Details
- Travel position
- 13 weeks
- 36 hours per week
Unit Overview
- Intensive care unit with 16 beds
- Typical patient ratio is 2:1, with occasional 1:1 or 3:1 depending on acuity and staffing
- Uses ventilators, EVDs, CRRT, SLED, and EV 1000
- Documentation system: Meditech
Schedule and Work Expectations
- Minimum of 4 weekend shifts per schedule
- Schedule is built in 4-week increments
- Contract staff are expected to float first, including to med/surg if needed
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Tennessee
- ICU - Intensive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
- ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
- ACLS
- BLS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Clinical Responsibilities
- Care for patients and families with attentive, compassionate service
- Procedures on the unit include central line insertion, arterial line insertion, lumbar punctures, chest tube insertions, and EVD insertions
Dress Code
- Navy scrubs, top and bottom
