RN - Orthopedic Surgery

Job Type
- Travel RN
Contract Length
- 12 weeks
Schedule
- 36 hours per week
- Weekend coverage as needed, every third weekend
- No call requirements
- Orientation is weekly on Mondays
Unit Overview
- 23-bed unit
- Patient population includes geriatric, adult, and pediatric patients age 13 and older
- Common cases include post-operative joints, post-op bariatric, post-operative GI, and trauma patients
- Must be willing to float as needed
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Tennessee
- Orthopedics experience within the last year
- 1 year of Orthopedics experience
- ACLS
- BLS
- PALS
- NIHSS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Orthopedic Surgery experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Good assessment skills
Work Environment
- 4–6:1 patient ratio
- 167-bed facility
- Level III Trauma Center
Additional Notes
- Candidates must live 60 miles or more from the facility to be considered for travel status
- Local rate applies for candidates who do not meet travel distance criteria
