Job Overview

Specialty: Occupational Therapy
Location: Anchorage, Alaska
Employment type: Travel
Contract length: 13 weeks
Hours per week: 36
Shift: Day shift; 10-hour days or an 8-hour rotating schedule that includes weekends
Setting: Inpatient acute care rehab services

Required Qualifications

Valid Occupational Therapist license in Alaska
Occupational Therapist (2 years of experience)
Occupational Therapist experience within the last year
BLS
OTR Certification
De-escalation Skills - Healthcare Setting
Experience in an Acute Care setting

Schedule Expectations

Weekend rotation is required, including Saturdays and Sundays
On-call is not required

Work Environment

Approximately 8–10 patients per day
Independent work style preferred
Scrubs: olive green / light green

About

Anchorage is a unique city surrounded by 5,000-foot-high peaks in the south-central part of Alaska along the Cook Inlet, where abundant salmon and whales swim through. It's filled with cultural sites, including many museums and the Alaska Native Heritage Center, which offers stage performances and displays traditional crafts and replicas of dwellings from indigenous groups in the area.
