Job Overview
- Location: Marquette, Michigan
- Employment type: Travel
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour shifts
- Hours per week: 36
- Weekend requirement: Every other weekend
- Call: Only if census is low
- Float: Yes
Specialty / Unit
- Specialty: Cardiac and stepdown
- Unit: Cardiac IMCU / Medical Surgical Telemetry
- Patient population: Cardiac, trauma, and stepdown/telemetry patients
- Bed count: 36
- Patient ratios: 1:5-6 for cardiac patients; 1:3-4 for PCU/stepdown patients
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Michigan
- PCU - Progressive Care Unit (1 year of experience)
- PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
- BLS
- ACLS
- NIHSS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Chest tubes experience
- Cardiac monitoring and cardiac drips experience
Experience / Skills
- Cardiac patient populations
- Chest tubes
- Cardiac monitoring and cardiac drips
- Cardiac stepdown populations
Preferred Experience
- PCU/stepdown patient populations
- Low-level ICU skills
