Ogden, Utah

Travel
8-week contract
36 hours per week

Schedule

Day shift: 5:00 AM–5:00 PM or night shift: 5:00 PM–5:00 AM
3 shifts per week
Every other weekend
1 call shift per pay period

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Utah
NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care (2 years of experience)
NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care experience within the last year
BLS
NRP
ACLS
STABLE
PALS
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
IV placement
Neonatal Abstinence Scoring
hypoglycemia management
emergency response (Code response)

Unit Details

Level III NICU
17-bed unit with capacity for 22 beds
Feeder/grower ratio: 1:3
Higher-acuity ratio: 1:2

Key Clinical Experience

IV placement
Neonatal Abstinence Scoring
Hypoglycemia management
Emergency response
Neonatal care
ROP exams
Assisting with bedside procedures such as intubation, central line placement, and chest tube placement

Work Environment

Ability to work with families during stressful hospitalizations
Ability to explain care and update parents
Ability to communicate changes in condition to physicians

Additional Notes

No new graduates
Facility-provided women’s and children’s scrubs
