Labor and Delivery RN
Job Overview
- Location: Anchorage, Alaska
- Employment type: Travel/Contract

- Shift: Night shift, 3x12 hours
- Weekend requirement: Every other weekend
- On-call: Not required
- Floating: May float to like units within scope if needed
- Block scheduling: Not available
- Locals accepted: No; candidate’s permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility
- First-time travelers: Accepted
- Guaranteed hours: 60 hours per 2 weeks
- Charting system: Epic
- Parking: Free
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Alaska
- Labor and Delivery (1 year of experience)
- Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- ACLS
- NRP
- AWHONN
- NIHSS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Preferred Experience
- Charge experience preferred, or willingness to train as charge
Unit Details
- High-risk labor and delivery unit
- OB triage and antepartum testing are part of the unit’s patient mix
- Average daily deliveries are around 7, with volumes often reaching up to 14 patients

- Time off is reviewed individually and must be included at submission
- Scrubs are provided
