Labor and Delivery RN

Overview

Location: Eureka, California
Employment type: Travel/Contract
Start date: ASAP
Shift: Night, 3x12 hours
Hours per week: 36
Contract length: 13 weeks
Setting: Labor and Delivery; postpartum preferred

Schedule and assignment details

Weekend coverage is required to meet staffing needs.
Travelers float as needed within their scope.
Average daily census: 15–20
Visits per day: 20
Rooms/beds: 11/15

Required qualifications

Valid RN license in California
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Labor and Delivery (1 year of experience)
Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
BLS issued by American Heart Association
NRP
NIHSS

Required certifications

ACLS
EFM

Additional notes

The unit cares for high-risk OB and a culturally diverse population.
RNs circulate on cesarean sections.
Requested time off is limited to no more than 7 days.
