Required Qualifications

• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Valid RN license in Alaska
• ED - Emergency Department (1 year of experience)
• ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or Heart and Stroke Foundation
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or Heart and Stroke Foundation
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association or Heart and Stroke Foundation
• Driver's License

Assignment Details

• Guaranteed hours: 60 hours per 2 weeks, with up to 1 twelve-hour shift canceled per 2 weeks
• Charting system: Epic
• Scrubs: Any color or business casual

Facility Setting

• Acute care medical center, long-term care facility, and outpatient setting
• Level IV trauma
• Critical access hospital
• 46 acute care beds and 22 LTC beds

Housing and Transportation

• Housing is provided during the assignment
• Rental vehicle is provided during the assignment
• Housing is typically a 1-bedroom apartment
• Pets are not allowed
• Additional family members require approval
• Housing must be cleaned at departure or cleaning fees may apply
• Vehicle use is limited to around town and within 30 miles of the facility
• Traveler must provide a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance before using the vehicle
• Tire chains are available at additional cost

• Social Security card, as applicable for I-9

• EPLS/GSA/SAM check

• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Fit mask
• Tdap within 10 years
• Negative TB or chest X-ray
• Rubeola, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, varicella

• Flu vaccination or declination during flu season
• COVID vaccination record or declination
• Respiratory safety clearance
• References: minimum of 2 covering 1 year of employment total within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
• Employment application with at least the last 5 years of employment
