RN - Emergency Dept

- 13-week contract
- Night shift: 7p–7a
- 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in North Carolina
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- BLS
- ACLS
- PALS or ENPC
- NIHSS
- CPI
- ED - Emergency Department (1 year of experience)
- ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
- One completed travel assignment
Schedule Notes
- Travelers must start on one of the listed orientation dates
- Weekend rotation every other weekend
- Call may require push-back hours depending on census
Unit Details
- Emergency Department
- 32 beds
- Patient population ranges from birth to death
- Float support may include helping in areas where competencies are held
Preferred Experience
- Fast-paced emergency department experience
- Experience with strokes, STEMI, and trauma
Work Environment
- Fast-paced setting
- Critical care thinking and strong stamina are important
- Good patient interaction skills with patients and families are valued
