RN - Emergency Department
Job Overview
- Location: Hickory, North Carolina
- Employment type: Travel
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Weekly hours: 36
- Weekend schedule: Rotates every other weekend
- Call: Hours may be pushed back depending on census
- Float expectations: May help in other areas where competencies apply
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in North Carolina
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- ED - Emergency Department (2 years of experience)
- ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
- ACLS
- BLS
- PALS
- CPI
- NIHSS
Unit Details
- Setting: Emergency Department
- Bed count: 32 beds
- Patient population: Birth to death
- Patient ratio: 1:4 to 1:5
- Equipment: Critical care equipment
Preferred Experience
- Fast-paced emergency department experience
- Experience with strokes, STEMI, and trauma
Work Environment
- Fast-paced unit
- Strong patient and family communication skills
- Critical-thinking and stamina are important
