MRI Tech

Job Overview

  • Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
  • Location: Wilmington, North Carolina
  • Employment Type: Travel/Contract
  • Contract Length: 13 weeks
  • Shift: Nights, 3x12s, 6:30 PM–7:00 AM
  • Weekly Hours: 36

Required Qualifications

  • Valid MRI Technologist license in North Carolina
  • MRI Technologist (2 years of experience)
  • MRI Technologist experience within the last year
  • One completed travel assignment
  • BLS
  • ARRT

Preferred Experience

  • Familiarity with the following imaging skills: abdomen, pelvis, head and neck, spine, musculoskeletal, diffusion (non-brain), gradient echo imaging, MIP, MRP, peripheral magnetic resonance, spin echo images, surface coils, T1 and T2, CINE
  • Familiarity with chest imaging and image post-processing

Clinical Details

  • Patient population includes adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
  • Preferred familiarity with neonates, infants, and pediatric patients
  • Equipment used includes GE and Siemens
  • EPIC is used for medication, documentation, and communication
  • No call required
  • No floating required

Schedule / Start Expectations

  • Start date is subject to class and trainer availability
  • Full availability is required for the first week of orientation
  • Missing any portion of orientation may delay or cancel the start
  • Unit orientation is 8:00 AM–4:30 PM during the first week

Work Conditions

  • Travelers may be assigned to storm, hurricane, disaster, or mass-casualty response coverage
  • Mid-contract consolidation to a centralized office may occur
  • Royal blue scrubs are required
