Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Texas
- Med Surg (1 year of experience)
- Med Surg experience within the last year
- BLS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience in a(n) Inpatient setting
Unit Details
- 16-bed unit
- Typical patient ratio: up to 6:1
- Floating may include med/surg units
- Normally rotating weekends, as needed for travel RNs
Clinical Focus
- Care for med/surg patients
- Standard nursing tasks including IV insertion, urinary catheter insertion and maintenance, central line maintenance, medication administration, communication with the care team, and documentation in the EHR
Preferred Background
- Ortho or neuro-surgery background
- Med/surg/telemetry background
