Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Ohio
- Behavioral Health (2 years of experience)
- Behavioral Health experience within the last year
- BLS
- HWC
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Key Skills / Experience
- Ability to recognize mental health as an illness
- Compassionate approach to mental health care
- Ability to remain calm when patients make comments
- Ability to be proactive during downtime
Patient Population / Unit Context
- Adult patients ages 18-99
- Common diagnoses include detox, depression, and psychosis
Work Environment
- Intake department
- 24-bed unit
- Typical patient ratio: 1:4
