Registered Nurse - Pacemaker Electrophysiology

Schedule
- Day shift
- 9-hour shifts, 4 days per week
- 36 hours per week
- May require weekends, after-hours shifts, and on-call coverage
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Valid Montana RN license
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners (IBHRE) certification
- 1 year of Electrophysiology Lab experience within the last year
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
- Coordinate patient care and follow-up for device clinic patients
- Interrogate and manage cardiac implantable electronic devices
- Monitor and document patient response to device therapy and programming changes
- Perform ordered diagnostic tests and treatments, including EKGs, event monitors, Holter monitors, and Zio Patch application, removal, and data processing
- Coordinate surgical and procedural interventions related to cardiac implantable electronic devices
- Support patients undergoing MRI studies, surgical procedures, and other interventions
- Provide patient and family education related to devices, arrhythmia management, and electrophysiology procedures
- Participate in quality improvement, regulatory compliance, and departmental initiatives
Work Environment
- Fast-paced clinical setting
- Regular exposure to bloodborne pathogens, radiation, chemicals, medications, infectious diseases, and emotionally challenging situations
Additional Notes
- On-time completion of required education is expected per applicable requirements
- Candidate must live at least 90 miles from the facility
