RN - Rapid Response
Job Overview
- Location: Augusta, Georgia
- Employment type: Travel
- Hours per week: 48
- Contract length: 6 weeks
- Schedule: Every other weekend required; no special scheduling or RTO
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Georgia
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- ED - Emergency Department (2 years of experience)
- ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
- Rapid Response experience
- BLS
- ACLS
- PALS
- TNCC
- NIHSS
Unit Details
- Emergency department setting
- 11 beds
- Patient ratios: 1:4, 1:6, acuity based
- PCTs are scheduled mid-shift
- RNs and PCTs run point-of-care labs
- RNs set up and adjust respiratory equipment with phone support from the main hospital
- Possibility of floating to the main ED
- Frequent admissions to the main hospital from the FSED
Common Procedures / Responsibilities
- IV insertion
- Foley catheter insertion
- NG tube insertion
- Assisting providers with common ED procedures
Candidate Profile
- Experienced ED RN comfortable with common ED chief complaints and trauma patient care
- Positive, flexible, team-oriented, patient-centered
Additional Notes
- New facility with all new equipment
- Opportunity to work with BiPAP, ventilator equipment, and point-of-care labs
- Required uniform: royal blue scrubs
