Registered Respiratory Therapist

- Mostly day shift
- Must be willing to work nights if needed
- 36 or 40 hours per week
- Weekend coverage needed
- Holiday coverage as needed
- No on-call
Contract Length
- 11 weeks
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Graduate of an accredited program in Respiratory Therapy
- Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in New Jersey
- Current and valid NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (2 years of experience)
- Registered Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
- 2-3 years of experience with long-term ventilator patients
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- PALS issued by American Heart Association
Key Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory care therapy and supportive equipment under medical direction
- Assist with intubation and ventilator setup and management
- Evaluate patient needs and coordinate with other healthcare professionals as appropriate
- Educate patients and caregivers
- Document patient/caregiver education
