Labor and Delivery RN Travel Assignment

Valid RN license in Virginia
Labor and Delivery (2 years of experience)
Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
ACLS
AWHONN
BLS
NRP
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Unit Details

Unit type: Maternal Infant Unit
Bed count: 24
Staffing: Day and night shift coverage includes labor nurses, nursery nurses, OB techs, secretaries, leadership, and an educator on days
Typical patient ratios: Labor 1:1 most of the time; postpartum 5-6:1; nursery 5-6:1
Common procedures/care: Vaginal deliveries, C-sections, antepartum care, newborn care, and postpartum care

Schedule

Weekend requirement: Every third weekend
Call requirement: 12 hours of call per 4-week schedule

Additional Notes

Preferred experience: 2+ years of labor experience with LDRP and high birth volumes
Dress code: Navy blue scrubs
